Christian World News & POST

Dear Abundant Harvest Lift Family,

We write to provide a broad update on AHL’s efforts to address the coronavirus (COVID-19).  The health and safety of our community and church remains a priority, and we are actively monitoring government websites and other sources to stay abreast of any local impact.

We will as a leadership and church family remain vigilant in our understanding of this global pandemic and prayerful for God to intervene.  Some of our normal operations, services, meetings and programs are postponed until further notice.

How Are We Handling This?

As instructed by the CDC, we encourage all AHL employees, volunteer staff and congregation members to wash their hands with soap and warm water for 20 seconds regularly, or to use alcohol-based hand sanitizer when soap and water are not readily available, avoid touching your face with unwashed hands and avoid close contact with anyone who is sick.  Moreover, we are working to raise awareness of best hygiene and flu/virus prevention practices. If you are dealing with flu like symptoms we encourage people to stay home. In general, avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing.

Our Sunday worship services have begun again, are being live-streamed via Facebook and YouTube.  Our fellowship gatherings like our Saturday’s DDD and Iron Man Fellowship will be streamed via Zoom App.  See the icon on website for date and time schedules.

We at Abundant Harvest are dedicated to offering a clean and safe environment, which is always a priority. We clean weekly and as needed after any service or event function. In addition to hand soap available in all bathrooms, we have a supply of alcohol-based hand sanitizers available for use at every service time in the foyer and in dispensers and bottles in all classrooms in the Children’s Ministry.

What Precautions are Recommended?

To reiterate, the CDC recommends regular hand washing with soap and water (for 20 seconds)  to prevent infection.  If soap and water are not available, alcohol-based hand cleaners with at least 60 percent alcohol are also effective. Also, moisturize your hands after washing. At our services we are now encouraging people to not hug or shake hands temporarily. Pastor is requesting when we return for our services to use fist bumping, touching elbows or nodding our heads which works just fine.  We know that we are that place where God lives and His love flows but we will exercise wisdom!

What Is The Spiritual Action We will Take?

Psalm 91:5-7: You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

As a family of faith, we will not allow a spirit of fear to overtake us! Don’t forget there’s power in the Blood of Jesus! So please speak the Word over your life and family daily! There is now a special prayer on our website lift411.org for you to listen to and to pray over your family.

We pray God’s peace and strength over you, and we hope to see you at one of our upcoming Sunday services!
